Course: Legal Update (2 hrs legal)

Description: This course covers alternative ways in which a buyer's broker can be compensated, agency disclosure, subagency in the State of Michigan, real estate in advertising, promotional incentives, and marketing properties.

Course: Social & Fair (1 hr legal & 1 hr fair housing)

Description: The Michigan REALTORSâ presents an educational opportunity focused on the legal requirements of real estate advertising. This course will analyze state law and National Association of REALTORS requirements pertaining to advertisement content and appearance, as well as state and federal fair housing consciousness in advertising. This course will provide attendees with a broad understanding of the risks inherent in maintaining a business presence on social media without internal office guidelines aimed at fair housing and other state law requirements

Michigan REALTORS must complete 1 hour of Fair Housing training once every year of their licensing cycle, as required by the State.

Time: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Course: Realtor Estate Safety & Self Defense (2 hrs elective)
Instructor: Erin Hug (Marshall Police Department)
Description: Instructors will provide tips to keep REALTORS® safe and provide hands-on training in the event of a life-threatening situation. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for light movement and self-defense practice.
